What do we mean by 'Journalists'?
  • By 'Journalists,' we mean individuals who research, gather, verify, and deliver accurate, fair, and independent information to the public. They operate through platforms like newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, podcasts, online media, and video channels. Membership in the Journalists' Club is limited to those who meet this definition.

Eligibility Criteria

    • Professional Journalists
      • Applicants must have at least three years of experience in writing, content creation, editing, reporting, or as a media entrepreneur.
      • This experience should be with a recognized media organization or an accredited business setup approved by official government bodies or accredited media organizations in the applicant's country or state.

    • Citizen/Netizen Journalists
      • In addition to the criteria above, citizen or netizen journalists who have been actively reporting or sharing socially relevant information through digital platforms at least once a week for the past three years are also eligible for membership.
      • Applicants should have a digital presence with a minimum of 100,000 followers or subscribers and at least 10,000 views or likes on 35% of their content.

    • Podcasts or Text-Based Content
      • Individuals or firms that have been publishing or distributing socially relevant podcasts or text-based content for at least three years—via social media, blogs, websites, or other platforms—are also eligible to apply for membership through the Preliminary Membership Request Form.
      • A decision on applications for Podcasters or Text-Based Content Creators will be issued within 90 days from the date of receipt of the application.

    • Age & Required Documents
      • Applicants should be between 21 and 60 years of age.
      • A valid passport and two additional documents are required to verify identity and citizenship.

    • Verification & Committee Discretion
      • If there is ambiguity in the application or if the Membership Screening Committee has concerns, an official verification certificate from a recognized investigative agency (e.g., Police, Polizei, Policía, Polizia, Polis, Polícia) may be required.
      • The Membership Screening Committee has full discretion in making final membership decisions and may request additional legal documentation to support the application.

    • Final Authority on Membership
      • Exclusive Authority: The Journalists' Club management holds exclusive authority to make binding and conclusive final decisions on all membership applications.
      • No right of appeal or challenge: Neither applicants nor the public may contest or challenge membership decisions, whether directly or indirectly.
      • Judicial exceptions: Challenges may be pursued only through recognized judicial bodies.

    • Additional Terms
      • Applicants must review the FAQs, Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy on the website before applying.
      • The Journalists' Club disclaims any liability for mental or financial losses due to failure to review or understand these documents.

    • Complaint Resolution & Refund
      • If any complaints regarding membership are received and the member fails to provide a satisfactory explanation to the committee, the management holds the exclusive authority to suspend or dismiss the membership.
      • If membership is suspended or dismissed, the member will not be entitled to any refund of membership fees paid up to that point.
